Here is some logistical information for the meet at Waterford. 

Heat Sheets will be sent tomorrow as soon as they are ready.  

We DO have practice in the morning!  Pancakes will be served.

*ARRIVAL: The pool will be ready for Sherwood to enter at 4:30. They ask that your team arrives no earlier than 4:30 as the pool staff will be shutting down the pool escorting our members out to prepare for your arrival. Waterford warmups will be from at 4:45-5:05 and Sherwood warmups will be from 5:05-5:25 to allow you extra time to settle. Meet start time will be 5:30. *There will be a stroke judge/timers meeting at 5:15 by the back diving boards with our referee, Michelle Beekman.

*PARKING: The pool management asks that we use the grassy area for parking and then overflow to the North side of Slane Road (opposite of the pool gravel parking lot—using the side without traffic cones) or the East side of Glengarriff Rd (noted on the attached parking map). We will have parking attendants present to help keep the traffic flowing and the parking organized. There is a dam underground on the grassy area close to the pond and the parking attendants will be directing people to avoid that area (as it could collapse which would certainly be a catastrophe!). We ask that if parking on the side of Slane or Glengarriff Roads to please be conscientious of the Homeowners’ yards (as well as parking too close to stop signs/driveways). Inevitably, late comers often try to park too close to stop signs at the corners and it makes it very dangerous for traffic heading past the pool on Slane or Glengarriff. A parking map is attached for your reference to share with your team to illustrate the parking flow.

*DECK: There is limited seating, with large deck space, so please bring chairs and tents (if you wish). The back gate (by the diving boards) will be open and Sherwood may set up to the right when entering that gate (this is also identified on the map attached). Please note: entering through this gate will be the shortest walk with tents. Please feel free to also use the grassy area between the fence on your side and the bushes for your team to gather, if needed. Our baby pool, deep end with diving boards and shallow end will be closed for the entire meet.

*CONCESSIONS: Pool concessions open with a variety of snacks/drinks/ice cream treats. Waterford will also be selling both cheese and pepperoni pizzas from Mediterraneo ($20 for a whole pie or $3/slice) . They accept both cash and Venmo for payment for our concessions—however, please note: the pool concessions uses a different Venmo than Waterford, so pizza purchases will be separate transaction. We apologize for the inconvenience.
