Information for Tuesday at Forsyth Country Club
June 16th
Hey Sharks! Every pool has specific directions. We have not swam at FCC in years. Please review the specific information below including maps for parking and setting up on their deck. Hopefully weather will cooperate, but again FCC has specific directions for weather detailed below.
Heat sheets will be sent out as soon as they are available!! GO SHARKS!!
Tuesday, June 17, 2025 @5:30pm
Forsyth Country Club, 3101 Country Club Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27104
- Pool closes to their members at 4:30pm, so please do not arrive any earlier than 4:30.
- Warm ups from 5:05-5:25.
- Timer and officials meeting at 5:15.
- Visitors set up on the short side of the pool near/under the Pavilion. There are chairs (although you are welcome to bring your own folding chairs and tents to place nearer to the pool), a covered pavilion with tables and chairs, and space around the pool deck for your set-up. SEE MAP!!
- The playground, baby pool, shallow end, and shallow end ramp are all OFF LIMITS during the swim meet.
- The Pavilion Café offers a variety of food and drinks (SEE ATTACHED MENU). There is also a bar for adults 21 and up. Our volunteers are reminded not to drink alcohol until their shift is complete. There is a menu attached if you would like to pass along to your team. The Pavilion cafe accepts debit/credit cards only, no cash please.
WEATHER PLAN!! This is very specific for FCC.
- In the unfortunate event of bad weather, we have a lightning strike system on our golf course. This system alerts us with a loud siren of lightning within 15 miles. If that siren goes off during the meet, EVERYONE must evacuate the pool AND pool deck.
If a lifeguard hears thunder, we will evacuate the pool and check the lightning strike system. If there has not been a lightning strike, we will resume the meet.
We will need all swimmers and families to wait in their vehicles (or a safe spot as directed away from the pool facility) until we get an all-clear. Please have your families leave their items on the pool deck; they will be allowed to retrieve their items once the meet resumes or is canceled. Reps will meet inside the fitness pavilion to watch the weather and make a decision about continuing. Our pool manager and lifeguards are the ultimate decision makers when if comes to the safety of our swimmers and guests
