The VP of the league, Wendy Bartlett, has fulfilled her term and will not continue as VP since her children have aged out.  The league is looking for someone that wants to be involved in the summer league community.  Below is the job description according to the by-laws.  The major responsibilty is coordinating the Finals meet at the GAC, however Wendy has streamlined the job and is willing to help every step of the way.  Please let Whitney or I know if you are interested in the position or have more quesitons.

VICE PRESIDENT In the absence of the President, inability or refusal to act, the Vice-President shall perform the duties of the President, and when so acting shall have all the powers of and be subject to all the restrictions upon the President. The Vice-President shall be elected for a two-year term on odd numbered years.

Championship Committee: The Championship Committee is chaired by the Vice President and

should have no fewer than (6) members, preferably represented by a diverse group of member pools.

The major responsibility of the Vice President of GFSL is to organize the Championship Meet. Please see the attached document for more information regarding the timeline and responsibilities of organizing that event. Other duties of the Vice President include, but may not be limited to, meeting with the other officers of GFSL to make decisions about situations that arise during dual meets during the season, helping teams with Swimtopia, working with Swimtopia to create the finals file, communicating with coaches regarding finals requirements and expectations. The time commitment for the role of Vice - President is 2 - 3 hours each week during the season, and 1 - 2 hours a month in the off season (if that).
