Please take the time to read all the information below about City Meet. Attached are heat sheets, tentative times (please be aware that these are tentative!!), and a map of the pool deck.

ROBIN JACOBS CITY MEET SCHEDULE:

10 and Under Session  MORNING SESSION

8:30am - gates open - coaches pick up meet packets at the circus tent.

9:00am - warm-ups begin for 10 & under session

9:15am - officials' briefing

9:30am - timers' briefing

9:45am - coaches meeting

10:00am - start of 10 & under session

1:00pm - estimated end of morning session

11 & Over Session  AFTERNOON SESSION

1:00pm - coaches packets available for pick up at the circus tent for PM only teams.

1:30pm - warm-ups begin for 11 & up session

2:00pm - officials' briefing

2:15pm - timers' briefing

2:45pm - start of 11 & up session

7:00pm - estimated end of afternoon session

ASSIGNED TEAM SEATING

Sherwood is in the corner near the scoring tent. Same location as last year, as well as a small area to the right of the starting blocks to watching races.

Bring chairs and tents!!

WARM UPS:

Morning Session Lanes 4-6 at 9:00 a.m.

Afternoon session Lanes 1-6 1:30 p.m.

PARKING

In order to minimize issues with parking, PLEASE encourage your swimmers and parents to carpool. With the exception of a limited number of meet volunteers with parking passes, NO PARKING IS ALLOWED along the dirt road beside or behind the pool. Overflow parking is available at Bolton Elementary School or Trinity Presbyterian Church. Both are located one block from the pool on Bolton Street just beyond the exit ramp to Silas Creek Parkway. Parking will be enforced by the Winston-Salem Police Department and parking illegally will result in cars being towed! Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Pre-ordered City Meet T-shirts NISSA AND WHITNEY WILL HAVE THEM. A limited number of extra shirts have been ordered and may be purchased at the meet at for $20 each. Purchase may be made with cash, card (Square), or PayPal

TIMERS

Timers should check in at the scoring tent 30 minutes prior to the start of each session and be available for a timers meeting 15 minutes prior to the start of each session.

Concessions/Hospitality

Kona Ice will be set up at the entrance gate. Be sure to bring your refillable Kona Cup if you have one!

Thunderbirds Catering (Bolton Concession Stand) will be open throughout the day with a menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner options plus drinks and snacks. Concessions Menu Link

There is a theme for City Meet.  This has not been our focus over the past few weeks (sorry) as we prepare.  If you have props, please feel free to boost our theme!!!

 THEME/SPIRIT AWARD: “Pirates of Bolton” Theme:

This year we are celebrating Robin Jacobs’ beloved Disney and Pirates of the Caribbean to find the most festive costumes and decorations. The award criteria:

Tent and area decorations: Make your team area pop!!!

Costumes: Coaches, swimmers and parents - get into your best Pirates of Bolton costumes and be ready to show your team off before each session!

Cheering and Spirit on Deck: We want to see you rock the pool and push your swimmers to victory!
