Thank you all for such a wonderful meet last night!! It was great to be back at Sherwood swimming as a family! Thank you to everyone that formally volunteered, jumped in to help out, set up for the meet, cleaned up from the meet and all the other little things that made the meet run well! We are a family!!

Let’s get ready for ANOTHER meet this week!

Thursday, we are heading to New Sherwood. Below are some specific details for that meet.

Pool address: 4600 Fernmarch Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27106

• Please feel free to bring as many tents as you need for set up. There is shade once the sun goes behind trees, close to 6:30 PM. They plan to have a few large water coolers placed around with ice water for kids to fill up water bottles.
• Parking is available in a paved parking lot behind the pool and in our gravel lot and grass field across from the pool. Parking attendants will be available to help direct your families into the grass field. A circle drive is available for unloading only - please no parking around this circle. Please be aware of the "No Parking” signs along Fernmarch Drive and in the adjacent Lytchfield condo neighborhood. If necessary, cars can park along the pool side of Allistair Road heading towards Peace Haven Road. Please let parents know to arrive no earlier than 4:15 PM with a preferable arrival time of 4:30 PM
• The visitor side will be the side closest to the playground. Baby pool deck area as well. Feel free to bring tents to cover your seating area. We will have loungers turned sideways but you may also want to encourage parents to bring deck chairs to set up.
• Teams can set up and gather on the tennis courts. New Sherwood will set up on the near side court and Sherwood can set up on the far side court, which does have good shade.
• Concessions - Tables will be set up on the playground blacktop. We will be selling pizza by the slice, CFA sandwiches, fruit, chips, cookies, candy and drinks from our concessions area on the playground. Kona Ice will also be at the meet. All sales are Cash only. "Stingray Bucks” are awarded to all 10 and Under heat winners and are redeemable at concessions with a 25 cent value.
• Playground - Free to use but unsupervised. Please remind your parents to monitor as necessary.
• Order of Events - We will be rearranging the order of events to swim 6U backstroke event (only #43 & #44) immediately following the completion of the last individual Freestyle event #23.
• Sherwood WARMS UP at 5:05 PM
